2016 Tree Appreciation Tour

Date: 17-Sep-2016

Time: 10:00am Rain or Shine
Where: Meet at the Gazebo near the soccer dome at the south parking lot of the Aurora Leisure Complex.

Want to find out about the Aurora Community Arboretum and what an amazing place it is? Do you have a passion for trees, or an appreciation for all that they do to enhance our planet and environment? Do you want to learn more about trees from Certified Arborists?

Please join us on our first "Tree Appreciation Tour" for a fun and exciting guided tour of some of the Arboretum trees. The tour will be lead by Aurora Community Arboretum volunteer staff, but will also involve participation from Certified Arborists and tree enablers from a wide range of private and public organizations, who have experience with tree management, tree maintenance and who will be encouraged to share their unique perspectives.

This will be a great opportunity to see a special collection of trees and a great opportunity to learn from some very qualified people.

The tour will take approximately 1½ hours, and will cover a distance of about 2 kilometres, so wear comfortable shoes. It will be followed by light refreshments at the gazebo. You will have an opportunity to talk about any of your specific tree questions with the experts.
