This year our Community Planting day was focused on an area that will become a part of the Bottomland Forest. It's north of the Leisure Centre and the baseball fields and south of The Meadow. Over 500 cedar, willow, and swamp oak and more were planted ... as well as a Tamarack Grove that'll be golden yellow every autumn. Thanks to all the volunteers who came out and did such a great job.
Thanks also go to Lake Simcoe Regional Conservation Authority and Aurora Parks Department for their key contributions to this project.
